Description
A dioecious climber, with a perennial rootstock. Leaves cordate or ovate-oblong; flowers dioecious: male peduncles paired, both l-flowered; female solitary; fruits globose, oblong, smooth, 5-12 cm x 2-6 cm, striped: stripes light green on the young fruits and red on the ripe ones; seeds globose.

All over the warmer regions of India.
